About Ilga Leja:

Ilga Leja is an innovative knitwear designer from Nova Scotia. Her love for pattern and color has drawn her to create exquisite designs using hand-painted yarns, most often in fingering weight 2-ply, sport, and DK.
Most of her patterns are shown using Celestial Merino Dream and Fleece Artist yarns. Currently, Artisan Yarns features kits with patterns that use Celestial Merino Yarn.
All patterns are in leaflet form, produced and photographed by Ilga Leja. They come in a protective plastic sheet, which fits into a binder, provided by Artisan Yarns with your first kit purchase for free.
The beauty of her patterns, other than the timeless classic style mixed with fresh and innovative ideas, is that you can substitute yarns so easily and confidently, and even alter the pattern slightly to suit your personal needs.
